Ben has worked in the retail environment for the past 10 years, and has successfully managed a Retail Store in the Photographic Industry and McDonalds. During this time he has been coaching frontline staff as part of his work role.

He has been lecturing in Minilab and Retail studies, in technical skills and customer service, sales and communication. His ability to read the students and work with their strengths in overcoming their weaknesses has seen him develop a strong rapport with his charges.

Ben has been working in the United States of America as team leader with the Catalina Is. Camps over the summer vacation period for the past two years. His role as team leader and camp photographer has enhanced his skills dealing with diverse groups of students.

Ben won the PMA Young Achiever of the Year for Australia in 2002 and is a member of PMA and AITD.
